There is no room for me
I’ve tried placing myself in your space
We just don’t fit
You want it your way and I need it mine
I always knew we would part ways
Just not with hate in our hearts
You want what’s mine
You want my time
You want my mind
You want all of me
I’ve expressed my concern of ownership,
And I am not one to conform
I want what’s mine
I need my time
I cherish my mind
All of me is not an option.
I have felt this way.

An interesting exploration of friendships and relationships and the concept of being possessive. Sharing never works if one partner is obsessively possessive, but equally cannot work if the other is jealous of that possession. Sharing is also about giving, sometimes it means giving another time and space, that can mean respecting privacy. I would say the relationship / friendship comes to an abrupt end when you discover you cannot talk about these things 🙂

I agree. The moment you can no longer communicate is definitely a negative sign in any relationship. One should never desire to possess a person. It’s never a good outcome, even if equally are possessive. Thank you for stopping by and reading! 😊
